Weekend Update
I should really make a point of writing this stuff up as soon as I think about it, or at least write it down before I forget. Lisa says I have CRS (Can’t Remember Stuff), and as a result of this affliction, I’m having difficulty remembering exactly what happened this weekend.
This weekend was pretty busy. Morgan had T-ball games on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday’s game was a make-up for a rainout at Alpenrose. The field was the nicest one he has played at so far. Portland isn’t known for baseball, but there seem to be a bunch of parks with baseball fields, and plenty of various little league players playing on them.
Personally, I have never been all that excited about baseball. Morgan is, though, so I have been doing the best I can to enjoy the game. It is fun watching all the kids have fun playing the game.
I also got some time to work on one of my woodworking projects. I have been working on a footstool for her, but don’t get much time to work on it. I am planning on inlaying (sp?) some of the mosaic tile I used in the kitchen backsplash. I also have some green polished marble, so I have high hopes for a nice result. Hopefully I’ll get some free time one of these days this week to work on it. Won’t be tonight, though, as Morgan has another T-Ball game.
Lisa’s computer died this last weekend too. The hard-drive that the OS is on got really corrupted, and I couldn’t restore it to a functional level. We had been talking about getting her a new machine, so we ordered her a laptop from HP shopping. I have high hopes that she will like the laptop and find it handy to be able to take it with her when she goes places. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
I can’t bring myself to read/listen/watch the news these days. It is just makes me mad, and there is so little I can do about it. I really need to focus on work, and make sure I get stuff accomplished. I feel like I haven’t been getting much done, nor making much progress, and that frustrates me. I’m having a hard time getting excited about writing Linux kernel drivers. :/
