End of T-Ball, Woodworking and LIT
Morgan’s T-Ball season is done. His last game was a bit of a disappointment as it was rained out. The team did have pizza party at a RoundTable that sponsors some of the SE Portland teams. Everyone had a good time, and the players all got great trophies from B Bar K Engravings on Division. Unfortunately, the camera battery was pretty much dead, so we didn’t get any pictures of the event.
Morgan went to see his father this last weekend, so things were a little quieter around the house. On Saturday, I worked on Lisa’s foot stool in the garage, while Lisa spent the day at Dosha. I had gotten her a package for her birthday last year, and she finally had the occasion to use it. The Hawthorne location made it pretty convenient. That evening, we attended a party at one a Doctor’s house. The party was for the fellows that were graduating the GI program at OHSU. It was a pleasant party, but got out a little later than we had expected. We missed the opportunity to get drinks with Morgan and Margaret.
Sunday we worked on the cat post Lisa has designed, and went to meet Morgan’s father in Salem. We did rent “Lost in Translation” and managed to watch it the past couple of nights. Lisa wasn’t too fond of it, but I thought it was an interesting portrayal of depression, isolation, and making friends in unlikely places. The scenes are interesting — I’m especially fond of the scene where Bill Murray is making a commercial, and the swimming pool aerobics class.
Not a terrible lot of excitement, but the summer will be soon upon us.
